"Sí, sí. First thing in the morning."
I nodded and said my 'goodnights' to my crew and went into my room, only to find __(name)__ in deep sleep on my bed. Her sleeping face was kind and innocent, and she slept peacefully. I moved the pieces of hair out of her face and smiled, glad to have met this beauty. Slowly I bring my lips to her forehead and wish her good dreams. I take me shoes off and crawl into bed with her. Well, what do you expect me to do? Sleep on the floor?
My heart raced as I heard Antonio say something outside the door. I quickly jumped onto his bed and pretended to fall asleep. I planned to surprise him by pretending I was asleep… Only, I forgot to do that when he touched my hair, moving it out of my face. I thought my breath stopped. Then… he kissed me on the forehead, and I was paralyzed. I didn't know how to react, so I kept pretending to sleep. Then he went besides me and slept.
I spent hours and hours, looking at the Spaniard's sleeping face, and tried my hardest to sleep. I actually did fall asleep eventually, but I couldn't stand but to feel warm and tingly in my heart. Morning came and greeted me with screeching gulls, and I rubbed my eyes. Antonio was sleeping besides me, and I felt the need to jump back into the ocean.
Taking a small piece of paper, I wrote that I'd be going, and that I would come back soon. Smiling, I placed the paper on his desk and crept out of the ship.
I woke up and saw that __(name)__ wasn't there. I felt the bed sheets were she lay, and it was still a little warm. She left several minutes ago. Pulling myself together, I found a piece of paper on my desk. It was written with a beautiful handwriting, and it said, I will be going for now. See you soon. Going where? See me when?
I promised the crew we would land at a port, and I knew we were close. Seagulls would be heard when we were close to land. I pull my boots on and throw my coat on over my shoulders, placing my prideful pirate-hat on. I take my cross that dangled around my neck and pray to meet __(name)__ again.
We soon stopped at a port and it was a beautiful town. The townspeople seemed frightened and I smirked, leading my crew to a bar. My crew yelled, 'Make way for Captain Antonio!' and all, and we made way to the bar. After a while, the sun was about to set and we had enjoyed ourselves fully. As we were about to head back to our ship, a young lady came in front of me, bowing her head down. She wore a beautiful white dress and her headdress covered her face. In her hands was a hand-woven basket with shells. A familiar voice spoke.
"Captain Antonio Fernandez Carriedo, I'd like to give this to you as a gift."
"Thank you, chica. Let's go everyone."
I smiled as I crept into Antonio's room again and he was sitting at his desk, scribbling something on a piece of paper. Next to him were the shells I gave him. I watched the fire on the candles flicker, and I started to hum a song I remember my mother sing. Antonio jerks his head towards me as I start twirling in my dress. I start dancing some sort of dance I had remember doing long ago. After I finished, I opened my eyes to see a smiling Spaniard, clapping his hands softly.
"Thank you, good sir."
He chuckled, and his eyes gleamed with joy, they sparked with the color of fresh, moist grass. As I made myself comfortable in his bed, Antonio made his way to me and I felt his hot breath blow faintly on my upper lip. I parted my lips slightly, and Antonio gently placed his lips on mine.
The moment our lips touched, I trembled a bit, a little scared. Then slowly, the gentle kiss morphed into a passionate, rough one. I felt him leaning into me more, and I found my back on the bed. My hands reached into Antonio's messy, brown hair. His tongue started to push on my bottom lip, asking me for permission to let him discover how much sweeter the love can taste. I pulled back, gasping for air.
"I see you read my little message."
I smiled, remembering how much heart I put in each shell, writing a love message on the back of each of them. It took me a lot of courage as well.
"I remember each and every one of them. 'I love you', 'Will you be mine?', 'This must be love at first sight'…"
"Oh, stop it! You're embarrassing me, Antonio!"
"Would you like me to continue?"
"The list of words or the kiss?"
"The kiss, of course."
I giggled, and he passionately kissed me. I felt my heart beat loudly, and my ears were filled with the sound of blood pumping through. I wrap my arms around the pirate and feel my stomach flip and dance. This must've been the best night ever.
